On last 09.04.2026 Friday at about noon perpetrators with deadly weapon namely 1) Moinul Hoque, 2) Ainul Hoque, and 3) Md Rashid etc. attacked and physically assaulted mercilessly to Hindu lady Ms.Basanti Rani and her children son Mr.Apurbo Mahato at Sonakhara Union of Utrahazirpur Village within Roygonj Upazila of Serajgonj District in Bangladesh causing injuries. Those Minority victims were transferred, admitted to Hospital for recovery.
The cause of abrupt attack on this family was while they (victims) were digging land belonging to them for agriculture, perpetrators named above jumped over those innocent minority people and caused severe injuries.
I, adv Rabindra Ghosh President Bangladesh Minority Watch Dhaka immediately contacted with S.P. Serajgonj district over phone who said necessary legal measures would be taken when the complain is received by police.
On the other hand BDMW received information regarding counter allegation from accused persons on false grounds. Police till today no legal assistance provided to Minority Victims.
BDMW is very much concerned about repeated physical attacks on minority Hindu family at Utrahazirpur Village.
Bangladesh Minority Watch demand the speedy investigation on this physical attack on Minority family.
The perpetrators Responsible for physical attack on minority people should be punished as per law and compensation to victims be provided and adequate medical assistance be provided.
